Dr. Lana Mbaideen is a renowned Jordanian entrepreneur and visionary leader dedicated to fostering innovation and creative thinking. With over 26 years of experience in education, she specializes in creativity, giftedness, and innovation training and consulting. Dr. Mbaideen is the Founder and Director Manager of Rethinkers Academy, which aims to grow creative and innovative learning communities.
Holding a Doctorate in Philosophy of Education and a Master's Degree in nurturing Creativity and Giftedness Education, she skillfully blends academic and business experience to develop eco-innovation systems for continuous improvement. Dr. Mbaideen represents Thinking Schools Accreditation in the Middle East, working with Thinking Matters and the University of Exeter to empower and assess thinking schools in the region.
She is a Certified Innovation Assessor, Innovation Management trainer, and an EFQM Assessor of innovation and excellence. In 2018, Dr. Mbaideen founded the first Women Innovation Lab in Jordan and represents Tony Ryan's Thinkers Keys Model for schools in Australia. Additionally, she is the author of seven books on creativity for children, including "Thinking Outside the Box - CoRT."
Dr. Dave Walters is an Honorary University Fellow at the University of Exeter with a wealth of experience in both secondary education and higher education. As a former Deputy Principal of an 11-19 community college in South West England, he was responsible for assessment, evaluation, monitoring, professional development, and various interventions.
With over 30 years of teaching experience in secondary education and 25 years in higher education, Dr. Walters has developed a strong research background in learning, teaching, assessment, evaluation, leadership, cognitive education, and 'living theory' action research approaches. He also evaluates schools for accreditation as Thinking Schools on behalf of the University of Exeter's Thinking Schools @Exeter program.
Richard Cummins, a distinguished visionary and thought leader in the field of education, with a passion for developing independent learners and shaping the global Thinking Schools Network. With over 20 years of experience, Richard has dedicated his career to transforming classrooms worldwide, leaving a lasting legacy.
After teaching in state secondary schools in England for two decades, Richard went on to work with corporations such as Intel and Honda, identifying the need for thinking skills and learning dispositions that were not being developed by most schools. Recognizing this calling, Richard founded, led, and grew Thinking Matters, guiding the organization through its various stages.
Richard's expertise in cognitive science, resilience, creativity, and responsible risk-taking has made him an influential figure in the educational sphere. Known for his ability to connect people and his good humor, Richard has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the Thinking Schools Network.
Tony Ryan is a highly respected futurist who has dedicated his career to helping schools, colleges, universities, and organizations he have worked with over 1000 schools, across 12 countries develop sustainable futures. He is not only an expert in envisioning future trends but also assists others in preparing for and adapting to upcoming changes in their respective fields.
Tony is the author of several books, including Thinkers Keys, The Ripple Effect, Mindlinks, and Wrapped In Living. His latest book, 'The Next Generation,' emphasizes the importance of viewing the future as a promise for young people, especially in light of today's global challenges.
Tony is extensively involved in non-profit and social venture organisations. He is the founder of the Earth Movers Foundation, an Australian ambassador for School Aid, and a former national president of Professional Speakers Australia. He has appeared on national TV, radio, and in newspaper interviews, sharing his insights and promoting his work.
Javier is a highly qualified professional with a degree in Semitic Languages from the prestigious University of Salamanca, Spain, and further academic experience from Charles University in Prague. With a passion for language acquisition and cultural exchange, he pursued a Master's degree in Education from UNIR (International University of la Rioja, Spain).
For the past 10 years, Javier has honed his skills as a Spanish as a Foreign Language instructor at the renowned Instituto Cervantes in Amman, Jordan. Beyond his teaching career, he has also established himself as an expert in the field of education by specializing in teaching thinking and collaborating with Rethinkers as an international evaluator, trainer, and educational consultant. He has contributed his vast knowledge of language, culture, and thinking to various educational projects, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to professional excellence.
Currently, Javier continues to impart his knowledge and expertise in language, culture, and thinking as a language educator in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Spain, while simultaneously working with Rethinkers as an international evaluator. His vast experience and dedication make him a highly sought-after professional in the field of education.
